10 Noteworthy Openings: Autumn 2015

This autumn has welcomed a number of new and rebranded hotels to the market. Here are 10 noteworthy openings that recently took place:

Buffalo Marriott HarborCenter Hotel: The new full-service hotel managed and operated by Shaner Hotel Group features 205 guestrooms and nearly 6,000 square feet of event and meeting space. Each guestroom features Marriott’s latest design elements, including spacious work areas and “Revive” bedding for business travelers.

Hotel Granduca Austin: Opening Nov. 2, the nine-story luxury boutique hotel offers 194 guestrooms, six meeting rooms, and a 3,506-square-foot ballroom. The property marries Italian style with views of Austin. Amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center and twice-daily housekeeping.

Best Western Papilio Hotel: Best Western International has opened its first hotel in Surabaya, Indonesia. In addition to spacious guestrooms, a spa, and a fitness center, the property also includes Mariposa Restaurant

Aloft Santa Clara: Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has announced the opening of Aloft Santa Clara. Owned by CalTex Hospitality and managed by Lodgic Hospitality, the 175-room property features a 24-hour gym and 2,800 square feet of flexible meeting space.

Residence Inn Ann Arbor Downtown Hotel: The 110-suite hotel, developed by First Martin Corporation and managed by Rosemont, offers guests in-suite kitchens, evening social “Mix” events, and a central location near more than 60 local restaurants and shops.

Four Seasons Hotel Seoul: Featuring 317 rooms and suites, guests will find a modern take on Korean tradition throughout the hotel, from its light-filled spaces to the showcase of more than 160 contemporary artworks.

Red Lion Inn & Suites Brooklyn: RLHC has opened its first location in Greater New York City. Among the Park Slope and Cobble Hill neighborhoods, the hotel has 104 guestrooms and is surrounded by 150 restaurants, bars, and shops.

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos: The all-inclusive resort features 591 suites on a secluded beach cove, including 21 with ocean views and 31 swim-up suites. A Mexican Plaza on property serves as a gathering place for dining and entertainment, with an authentic tequila bar. The hotel also features 35,000 square feet of conference space.

The Renwick: Originally opened in 1928 as an artist’s loft, the 173-key hotel with 33 themed suites brings an innovative concept to Manhattan’s Midtown East. Whimsical pieces such as easel-inspired television stands and carpet that mimics the look of paint-splattered concrete bring the property’s history to life.

Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria: Owned by Songy Highroads and managed by Aimbridge Hospitality, the 325-key hotel is the ninth Hyatt-branded hotel to open in the Houston area. The 14-story hotel offers more than 11,000 square feet of meeting and conference space, and two full-service restaurants.
